  1. This course examines methodology as a scientific discipline. Goals of language teaching. The process of language learning. Factors that affect foreign language acquisition. Learning strategies. Analysis of methods of Italian language teaching: traditional, direct, combined, audio-oral, communicative approach, alternative methods, integrated methods. The common European frame of languages and foreign language teaching.
  2. This course covers basic and integrated language skills. Stages of a didactic unit. Mastering phonetics, grammar and vocabulary of Italian language. Didactic techniques of Italian language teaching. New technologies in foreign language teaching. Grading and Language Testing. Typology of objective tests. Errors and their correction. Non-verbal communication in teaching. Grading knowledge and skills. Analysis of pedagogical materials.
