The course examines texts in which the content encompasses the general areas for communication (travel, guests, climate, landmarks, meetings, negotiations, taking minutes, public speaking, business correspondence, biography and interview, etc.); contemporary author’s texts; newspapers headlines on politics, economy, legislature, health and other; grammatical content and morphological practice exercises: verbal forms, separable verbs, reflexive verbs, active and passive voice, konjunktiv (German subjunctive) mood I and II, prepositions etc., phonetics, stress, intonation etc.; syntax (indirect speech, subordinate clauses, attribute); lexicology (word-formation, compounds, derivatives, abbreviations, idiomatic expression and phraseology, stylistic varieties, text transformations).
