Literature and Plastic Arts

The course covers the study of the relationship between text and image, both at the level of aesthetic production and at the level of reception, through comparative analyses of the features of transmedial, multimedial, mixed and syncratic discourse. It examines the core forms of intermedial communication between literature and the fine arts through the study of representative examples from world and Macedonian literature: definition and typology of ekphrasis, the photo-novel, illustrated fiction, the novel about the artist, illumination, the comic, the calligram, the haiga, visual, pictorial, concrete, video and digital poetry.
