Postmodernist Poetics

The course examines Postmodernism as a cultural/historical concept; the genealogy of the concept; an overview of postmodernist positions; the sociological aspects; Posmodernity as a period and Postmodernism as a style; the poetics of Postmodernism; the poetic complexity of Postmodernism in the field of literature, as well as other artistic practices; tendencies and perspectives of Postmodernity; postmodernist literary techniques – from ludism to triviality; Postmodernity versus Modernity; the question of Modernism and Postmodernism – as subversion or continuity. It also includes applicative comparative readings and interpretations of paradigmatic texts.
